12 years in business is a humbling experience.
After our first year, people told us, “congratulations! The first year is the hardest.” My business partner at the time, Stephanie, and I looked at other owners who had been in business for 10 years and hoped we would be able to make it to that point.
Today, the decisions that I face as a business owner are oftentimes challenging, but I continue to wake up each day thankful to be doing what I love, with the people in love, in the city I love. I feel more grateful and humble with each year that Lela continues to offer fashion and customer service in the neighborhood I love.
Broadway continues to serve as the best address for Lela. Watching the Third Ward grow and change has been a constant thrill. My passion for neighborhood development is almost as strong as my passion for making fashion fun for all of you! Changes are coming and we are ready to welcome what the future holds for our unknown neighbors to the north of us. I am sure it will be a great addition to our already amazing block.
To all of you: thank you for being the biggest part of what makes Lela so successful.
We would be delighted for you to join us on Thursday, November 12th from 6-9 to celebrate what we have done together and look forward upon what can happen next.
